These Terms of Service set out the agreement between Groomwell by Rockwell LLC and the person who books, receives, or enquires about a coat care service at the studio. They are written in plain English and are meant to be read before a visit is arranged. If any point is unclear, ring the studio and we will explain it before you commit to anything.
1. The Agreement
These terms form the agreement between Groomwell by Rockwell LLC and the person who books a service, the person who brings an animal to the studio, and any person who uses this website. By booking a bench time or by using the website, you accept these terms on your own behalf and on behalf of any person you represent.
If you do not accept these terms, please do not book a service. Nothing in these terms limits a right that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded by agreement. Where a term conflicts with such a right, the right prevails and the rest of the terms continue to apply.
The studio is operated from 140 Poplar Ave, Logan - 84321-4616, United States (US). The same terms apply to a visit made at the studio and to a collection or drop-off arranged through the studio.
2. The Studio and Its Services
Groomwell by Rockwell LLC runs a coat care studio. The services are Bath and Brush Sessions, Full Coat Trims, Nail and Paw Care, De-Shedding Programs, Seasonal Coat Checks, and Collection and Drop-Off. Each service is described on the services page and may be adjusted at the bench to suit the coat in front of us.
The studio is not a veterinary practice, not a hair salon, and not a laundry. We do not diagnose illness, prescribe treatment, or perform any procedure that belongs to a medical professional. If we observe something that appears to need medical attention, we will tell the owner and pause the service where safety requires it.
We may decline a service where the coat, the behaviour, or the condition of the animal makes safe work impossible. In that case we will explain the reason plainly and, where it is useful, suggest a professional who is better placed to help.
3. Who May Use the Service
A booking may be made by an adult who is able to enter a contract. A young person may attend with a parent or guardian but may not book a service alone. The person who books is responsible for the accuracy of the information given and for settling the account.
By booking, you confirm that you are the owner of the animal or that you have the owner permission to arrange care. If you are arranging care for another person, you confirm that you have told that person what is being booked and that they accept these terms.
We reserve the right to ask for confirmation of ownership or authority where a booking seems unclear. This is a safeguard for the animal and for the studio, not a comment on the person asking.
4. Bookings and Confirmations
A booking is made when we confirm a bench time by email, telephone, or a written note at the studio. A message that has been sent through the contact form is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking, until we reply with a time and a service.
Please tell us at the time of booking the coat type, the approximate length, the last wash, and anything the animal finds difficult. Accurate information lets us set the right table and allocate enough time. A booking made on incomplete information may need to be adjusted when the coat is seen in daylight.
We confirm collection windows the day before a visit. If a window needs to change, we will contact the number on the booking and offer the nearest alternative.
5. Prices and Estimates
Prices are agreed before a service begins. Where the coat turns out to require more work than expected, for example because of severe matting or a heavy undercoat, we will stop and explain the additional work and its cost before continuing. No extra charge is added without your agreement.
An estimate given by telephone is an estimate, not a fixed price, because the work depends on the coat that arrives. A fixed price is given at the bench once the coat has been read and the plan has been agreed. Nothing in a published figure on the website is an offer capable of acceptance without confirmation from the studio.
Prices may change over time. The price that applies to a booking is the price confirmed for that booking, not a later figure.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due when the service is complete, unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods shown at the counter. The website does not take payment and does not record card details.
Where an account is settled by card at the counter, the transaction is handled by the terminal of our bank. We keep a receipt reference and the amount for accounting. A card number is not written into any studio record.
If an account remains unpaid after the agreed period, we may send a reminder and may decline a future booking until the account is settled. We will not add a charge that was never explained to you.
7. Cancellations and Changes
You may cancel or change a booking by calling +19297131372 or by email to grooming@groomwellrockwell.mom. We ask for as much notice as you can give, because a cancelled bench time is hard to fill at short notice and a coat that waits is a coat that suffers.
If you cancel with reasonable notice, there is no charge. If you cancel several times without notice, we may ask for a deposit before holding a future time. We will explain any such condition clearly before it applies.
If the studio has to cancel a booking, we will offer the nearest alternative time. If no alternative suits you, any deposit paid for that booking will be returned in full.
8. Late Arrival and No Shows
Bench times are set to allow a full, unhurried session. If you arrive more than a short while late, we may need to shorten the service or move it to another day so that the next booking is not affected. We will discuss the options with you before any work begins.
If you do not arrive for a confirmed booking and do not contact the studio, the time is recorded as a no show. A second no show may mean that a deposit is required for future bookings.
We understand that life interrupts plans. A call is always better than silence, and a short message will usually let us find a way to keep the visit on the calendar.
9. Conduct at the Studio
The studio is a quiet working room. Please keep voices low, keep children close, and keep other animals at home unless they have their own booking. The tub room has a wet floor by design, so please stay in the seating area unless a member of staff invites you through.
We do not permit harsh handling of an animal at the studio. If a person is unable to keep an animal calm and the animal is distressed by the visit, we may ask the person to step outside while we work. This is done for the safety of everyone in the room.
Abusive language or threatening behaviour towards staff will end the appointment. In such a case the service is not performed and any time already spent may be charged. We take this step rarely and only when a boundary has clearly been crossed.
10. Health, Behaviour, and Disclosure
Please tell us before a visit about any condition that affects handling: a tender joint, a healing wound, a heart condition, a sensitivity to warm air, a recent vaccination, or a fear of the dryer. This information changes the way we work and it is protected by our privacy policy.
Tell us if the animal has been unwell in the days before a visit. A coat that is carrying an infectious condition should not come to the studio until a professional has cleared it. Where a risk is disclosed, we may postpone the visit and hold the time for a later date.
We do not make a medical judgement. If we observe a lump, a sore, a limp, or a change in behaviour that concerns us, we will point it out and leave the next step to the owner and the owner chosen professional.
11. Scope of Coat Care
The work we carry out is limited to washing, drying, brushing, trimming, nail care, ear margin tidying, and paw care. Each service is performed with hand tools and clippers suited to the coat. We do not offer sedation, anaesthesia, or any form of restraint beyond the gentle noose loop on the grooming table arm.
A noose loop is used to keep an animal steady at the table, never to lift or suspend it. If an animal cannot be kept steady with the loop and calm handling, we stop and discuss the next step with the owner.
Results vary with coat type, condition, and history. A coat that has been trimmed very short in the past may take several visits to settle into an even shape. We will tell you what is realistic before we begin.
12. Matted Coats and Shave Downs
A mat is a knot of coat that has tightened against the skin. A mat cannot be brushed out without pain once it has closed, and pulling at it is not care. Where a coat is badly matted, the humane option may be to clip close and start again.
We will show you the extent of the matting before any blade is used and explain the option we recommend. If a shave down is chosen, you accept that the finished length will be much shorter than a normal trim and that the coat will take time to regrow.
A matted coat can hide skin problems underneath. Where a shave down reveals a sore or a lesion, we will photograph nothing without your consent and will describe what we see. Any further care is a matter for you and your chosen professional.
13. Collection and Drop-Off
Collection and drop-off are available in the local area around Logan. A window is confirmed the day before the visit. The vehicle is kept cool, quiet, and free of strong scent, and the animal travels in a ventilated crate.
If nobody is present at the agreed address at the agreed time, we will wait a short while and then contact the number on the booking. If we cannot reach anyone, the visit may be cancelled and a return window arranged. A repeated missed handover may mean that collection is no longer offered for that address.
The studio is not a boarding service. An animal is collected for a booked service and returned at the end of it, and it does not stay overnight.
14. Liability and Responsibility
We take care at every stage of a visit, and we use equipment and methods suited to the coat. Even so, coat care involves sharp tools, warm water, and an animal that may move without warning. Small nicks, brush burn, or a stress reaction can occur despite careful handling.
We are responsible for loss or injury caused by our negligence. We are not responsible for a risk that you were told about in advance and chose to accept, such as the short result of a shave down on a matted coat. We are also not responsible for a condition that was hidden when the animal arrived.
Nothing in this section excludes a liability that the law does not allow us to exclude. Where a loss is caused partly by us and partly by another factor, our responsibility is limited to the part we caused.
15. Personal Property
Please bring only what a visit needs: a lead, a favourite towel if it helps the animal settle, and any medication that must be given during the day. The studio is not able to store personal property and is not responsible for an item left behind.
If an item is found at the studio, we will keep it in a safe place and try to contact the owner. Items not claimed after a reasonable period may be donated or discarded.
16. Photographs and Studio Notes
We do not take a photograph of an animal for any public purpose without your clear permission. Where you give permission for a photograph to be used on the website or in a studio record, you may withdraw that permission at any time and we will stop using the image going forward.
Studio notes describe the coat and the care given. They are kept for the purpose of planning future visits and are handled under our privacy policy. They are not sold, and they are not shared with another business.
You may ask to see the note kept for a coat. Ask at the bench and a member of staff will read it with you.
17. Use of the Website
This website is provided so that a visitor can read about the studio, understand the services, and contact us. You may read, print, and share the pages for your own use. You may not copy the site in bulk, resell its content, or use it to send unsolicited commercial messages.
The contact form prepares a message in your own mail application. You agree to use it only to send a genuine enquiry. Automated submissions, bulk messages, and content that is unlawful or abusive are not permitted.
We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise that every page will be free of error or that the site will never be interrupted. If you find a broken page, a short note to grooming@groomwellrockwell.mom is always welcome.
18. Intellectual Property
The text, layout, and studio design of this website belong to Groomwell by Rockwell LLC unless another owner is stated. The business name and the studio marks are used by the studio and may not be used by another business in a way that suggests a connection that does not exist.
You may quote a short passage from the site with a credit and a link to the page. You may not reproduce a whole page, a set of pages, or the visual design of the site without written permission.
If you believe a part of the site infringes a right you hold, write to us with the details and we will look into it promptly.
19. Third Party Links and Services
The site may link to a page operated by another business, for example a provider that supports email or a payment. We do not control those pages and we are not responsible for their content or their practices.
A link is provided for convenience. Following it does not mean that we endorse every practice on the other site. The terms of that site apply once you leave our pages.
Where a third party service is used in the course of a booking, such as our bank for a card payment, that service operates under its own terms and its own privacy policy.
20. Complaints and Follow Ups
If something about a visit was not right, tell us as soon as you can. A call to +19297131372 or a message to grooming@groomwellrockwell.mom will reach a person who can help. We would much rather hear about a concern than have it sit unanswered.
Where a finish needs a small correction, we will offer a follow up at the bench. Where a problem was caused by our work, we will put it right at no charge. Where the issue is a matter of preference rather than an error, we will explain what was done and what can be adjusted next time.
We keep a short record of a complaint and its outcome so that the same issue is not repeated. That record is handled under our privacy policy.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time as the studio changes. When a change is material, we will update the date at the top of the page and, where practical, note the change on the homepage.
A booking already confirmed before a change is governed by the terms in force when it was made, unless the change is required by law. A new booking made after a change accepts the updated terms.
The current version always sits at groomwellrockwell.mom/terms-of-service. A printed copy is available at the bench on request.
22. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah and of the United States. A dispute that cannot be settled by a conversation will be handled in the courts that have jurisdiction over the studio address.
Before any formal step, we ask that you contact us and allow a reasonable period to resolve the matter directly. Most concerns are settled at the bench in a few minutes.
If one part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in force. The headings are for reading convenience only and do not change the meaning of a section.
